We had a busy, but fun weekend last week. Friday afternoon, Grandma picked Nathan up from school and he got to spend the night with her and Grandpa John all by himself. Going there without his sister is a big treat. He used to get to do this all the time before Abby realized how much fun it is to go to Grandma's. He had a great time!
Saturday morning I woke up and went for a great run while Abby and Clay headed to the donut shop. After running and donuts, Nathan was home and we ran off to take him to Marshall and Drew's birthday party. It was at Incredible Pizza. Nathan had a fun time at the party and then got to spend the whole day with Marshall and Drew. First, they went to Drew's baseball game where Nathan and Marshall rounded up foul balls to return to the umpire. Somehow during this time, Nathan managed to get gum all over his glasses and on the back of his neck. Don't understand that one, but apparently there was a big bubble involved. After the game they went back to the Shake's house where those 3 boys played hard all afternoon! That evening Clay, Abby, & I met them all at Pappacito's. It was a delicious dinner with great friends. After dinner everyone came back over to our house where the kids played more, then we bathed them, and threw them all in a bed. Nathan and Abby were so disappointed when they woke up Saturday morning and Marshall and Drew had gone home. We'll definitely have to have a sleepover soon. It was a great day for everyone!!!
Abby enjoyed cherries while we waited for our table.

She was SO excited about the stick on earrings!
Sunday afternoon, Abby and I went to the Mother/Daughter tea party at church. It was a fun girly afternoon for her. Everything was pink and full of flowers. So it was perfect for our girly girl. The girls got to make a craft, visit the candy bar, enjoy cupcakes and punch, & then enjoy a little devo and manners chat. Abby wasn't really interested in that part, but she loved the candy and cupcakes!
After we got home from the tea party, we changed and headed out the door with the boys to Golfsmith. We went to just look around, but left with a new set of clubs for Nathan. He hasn't even had his old set a year yet, but he has grown alot and they were starting to get to small for him. So we are on to his 2nd set of clubs! He is very proud of them and is excited that there are more clubs in the bag. He could hardly get through dinner last night here at my parents' because he wanted to show them to Paw-paw so bad.
