And So It Begins...

Nathan got to go to the shooting range with Clay for the first time yesterday. This is an activity that could have gone either way for Nathan. He has been wanting to go with Clay for several weeks now and has been very eager, but I still wasn't sure how it would turn out. He LOVED it!!! Both of my boys were on Cloud 9 when they got home. I think this will be a hobby for years to come for these two to do together. Last night when I was tucking Nathan in he told me, "I am ready to go hunting for a deer!"

Happy Valentine's Day!

We started our Valentine celebration a few weeks ago, when one Monday Abby was insisting we make a cake. So being the good baker that I am, I pull out the heart pan and we made a strawberry cake complete with candles. Not only did she insist on the cake, but she insisted on the candles. "I blow it!" She repeated all day. So we sang Happy Valentine's day to ourselves as she and Nathan blew out the candles.

Grandma Clara's

I took the kids to my Grandma's one Friday a few weeks ago. It is only about an hour away from here. So we make day trips up there every now and then. It was a good day. We saw lots of family including Paw-Paw and Dee who were also visiting Grandma Clara. Nathan took his bike and had so much fun riding all over the road. There's not too much traffic in Muenster. Abby of course had to be outside with Nathan even though it was one of those blustery windy days we've been having.

Nathan's Day!

Nathan got to go to the stock show on Saturday with his Aunt Alyssa and Uncle Ryan. This was his 2nd trip there of the week and he loved it! He had so much fun visiting all the animals at the petting zoo, seeing the tractors, & winning a GOLDFISH! He won a goldfish by throwing a ball into a fish bowl. So we now are the proud owners of a fish named, Finnie! Hopefully this fish will fare better than the last fish we had in our family.
