Abby is 3!!!

Today is Abby's 3rd birthday!!! I'm not sure where the last 3 years have gone. Abby is definitely crossed over into the little girl phase of life. She is not a baby anymore. She makes us all laugh ALOT! Her personality is very strong and she enjoys being the center of attention and making people laugh.

Some of her favorite things right now are babies, Barbie, all things princess, & dress up. She also loves to run around with Nathan's guns and pretend to shoot them. We just never know what she will come downstairs wearing or doing. She loves to get all dressed up with clothes, jewelry, shoes, & purses.

She also loves to snuggle with her daddy, play with friends, swim, & love on Mallory. She loves to eat pancakes, Lucky Charms, pepperoni pizza, Sonic grilled cheese, watermelon, & pink lady apples. She does love pink!

She wanted pepperoni pizza from Ci Ci's tonight and pink cereal (Lucky Charms)for breakfast this morning. Pretty easy bday meals.

We love you Abby and are so glad God has blessed us with you!

3rd Birthday Princess Party! We celebrated her bday last weekend with a princess tea party. Pictures of that will be my next post.

1st Grade!!!

Nathan started first grade today! It was a super exciting day for him. The first words out of his mouth this morning were, "I'm a big first grader, I'm a big first grader!" Clay, Abby, & I said good bye to him and the end of his hallway and he just walked on down to his room and was gone. He didn't even look back. I love that he is so confident to go into this new situation and be so brave. I, on the other hand, walked back to the car very teary-eyed. We love his school and feel like he has an excellent teacher. He chose to have pancakes for breakfast this morning and a turkey/cheese sandwich in his lunch. After school we went to celebrate at the snow cone stand with our friends: Dana, Joey, & Jacob. He was very tired when I picked him up and not very talkative, but as the evening has gone on he has shared more and more about his first day. Can't wait to see what the 2nd day holds for him.

Rainy Day Fun!

We are finally getting some rain this week. It is a nice break from the scorching temps we have had lately and it has been very FUN for Nathan and Abby. I was out organizing the garage a little yesterday and these two just got busy entertaining themselves out in the rain. They had such a great time. There was lots of laughter and squealing! At one point I was talking to my sister on the phone while they were doing this and I was so concerned that they were going to get hurt. I thought surely they need a helmet or something for all this running, sliding, going over curbs and such. She informed me thought that we used to do the same thing with our wagon. I guess we turned out okay. I hope the same for my monkeys!

Go-Carts were SO last year!!!

Saturday my in-laws came in town to stay with us for the night. Little did we know that this vehicle was going to come out of this visit. Clay & Grandad spent Sunday afternoon driving about 1 1/2 hours away to look at this cool golf cart. Luckily the drive was worth it and they came home with the BAD BOY BUGGIE!!! Or as Abby likes to call it the FerFari car. Which is her version of Safari Car. Eventually this vehicle is going to the ranch to be for hunting, but until then it is in our garage. Good thing I spent last week cleaning out the garage.
When will mom ever learn to stop taking our picture while looking into the sun!?!

On a side note, we have been enjoying a Daddy week at our house. Clay took the last two days off and we have been having so much fun. Yesterday we ran some errands, went shopping, relaxed at home, and then went to Chuck E. Cheese's for dinner. Today we spent the day at the waterpark and working on the Bad Boy Buggie. It has been so much fun to have him home with us. We are very sad that it has to end tomorrow. We are also very sad that summer is starting come to an end. We have had such a relaxing time, but I'm sure this will be a fun school year and we are really looking forward to Nathan starting 1st grade.

PTC Vacation!

The kids and I got home yesterday morning from a week long visit to our friends in Georgia. It was a great trip with our dear friends. The kids just played and played. We enjoyed alot of fun things together. Here's a recap.

We had lots of shows during our stay. This show involved alot of dancing while Craig played music. Nathan worked the behind the scenes portion of the show. Tickets, popcorn, etc. The girls were quite the performers.

One day we went into Atlanta to the museum. The kids had fun with giant bubbles and the penguin exhibit.

Dinner at The Flying Bisquit. These two were watching the thunderstorm outside. Wonder what they are talking about? Fun times at the pool!Abby crawled into bed with Nathan after I tucked them in. This is how I found them one night before I went to bed. I couldn't resist taking this picture of my sweet angels.Returning movies to Blockbuster. Yes, they really do go almost everywhere on the golf cart. These two decided to hide under the blanket. It was not cold at all, but they loved the blanket. A man walking by at Kroger said it looked like we had two ghosts on the back of the golf cart. Nathan & Ansley's marble structure.

Abby had a great time playing dress up. We're definitely going to have to get her some more dress up clothes. She had multiple costume changes everyday.

Lunch at Five Guys. Nathan requested to eat here. He remembered the peanuts from last year. Nathan ate all his cheeseburger and then spend alot of time cracking all these peanuts.
Then they used the peanuts to have a peanut stand. Business was pretty slow. So we ended up going swiming instead.
We got rained out at the swimming pool. So we headed to the bounce house place where they all 4 had a blast!


Almost every night we were there the kids had ice cream for dessert. On the last night, we celebrated Ansley's bday by putting a candle in her bowl and sang Happy Bday!.
