Spring Break 2009

We had Spring Break a month ago and loved every minute of it! We didn't go anywhere that week and we loved every minute of it. Clay and I started out spring break going to a wedding for his high school friend Blair and his wife Dawn. Clay and Blair were friends at Abilene High and have just recently reconnected through Facebook. It was a fun night out for us and a fun night at home for Nathan & Abby with Alyssa and Ryan.

A few days after the wedding Marcia and Mallory arrived to spend a few days with us. It was a busy few days, but we had fun! One day full of shopping, one day visiting Grandma Clara in Muenster, & another day hanging out at home. Then a bonus day because Mallory got sick while she was at our house.

The rest of the week we spent relaxing and enjoying the nice weather. One day we went to the Colleyvile Nature Center with our friends the Millers. We rode our bikes and scooters on the trails to Braum's and then played at the playground. This was originally what we had planned on doing for Nathan's bday, but we got rained out. The kids had a great time playing and being outside with their friends.

Nathan & Mikey had to have their own table that day. They sat completely on the other side of Braum's from the rest of us. I'm sure this is only a pre-cursor of what the teenage years will be like.

These two are something else. They have so much fun together one minute, but in the next minute they argue like an old married couple.
The handsomest 7 year old I know!
